ARASbDesign brings together the passion for delicate artwork and the intergenerational expertise in working with industrial machinery/tools. Put simply, Ara channels expertise and passion through recycled bullet casings. Since its inception in 2020, our goal has been to connect with people from all walks of life, be it gun-enthusiasts, jewelry-lovers, art-admirers, or exquisite-item-owners. Every item goes through a long and meticulous evaluative process (design, quality, technicality, etc.) before production, post-production, and completion. The base of all the items is brass, the original bullet casing, with some pieces moving on to the precious metal plating stage. The most unique aspect of my work is the weld-free assembly of all the parts which require careful calculations in order to fit pieces together with screws and/or simple insertions. Because the products are 100% hand-made (unless stated otherwise), they take hours and even days to complete depending on the design. Also, instead of pre-making the items, we begin working on the bullet shells once a request is in. Our work becomes more meaningful when we know we’re creating something special, unique and custom-made for someone instead of anyone.
Who is behind ARASbDesign and how did it come about?
Hi, I am Ara, the designer and maker of all the products you see on the website. ARASbDesign is the physical manifestation of all that is important to me: creativity, family, and growth.
Creativity
I became inspired to develop unique products with bullets after seeing war-torn civilians planting flowers in empty hand-grenades in an article. I have admired firearms for a long time and the idea of producing art out of bullets, besides what they are traditionally made for, was a turning point in my creative life. The detailed changes I design into ammunition turns them into something new, reusable, and aesthetically pleasing. With this work, I want to inspire others to approach life’s challenges and emptiness with a new perspective in order to bring qualities such as hope and creativity back into their lives.
Growth
Sculpting, carpentry, and working with industrial machinery/tools are lifelong hobbies that have been passed down generationally in my family. With ARASbDesign, I decided to go beyond creativity and hobby; I wanted to gain further personal and professional growth. With this determination in mind, the design ideas began to develop into experimentation with bullet casings, eventually leading to some of the initial products (such as the ARAS Bullet-in-Bullet Ring and the Pen Holder). Excited about the prospects of this work, I began studying brass and other metals in order to incorporate them into my work. ARASbDesign has since been growing, with coming-soon items in the pre-production and production phase. All the work that goes into making our unique products require the input and assistance of an entire team, my family.

ARASbDesign is a family-owned and operated enterprise that is expanding its intergenerationally mastered hand-crafting skills. We are proud of all the hard work that has been put into ARASbDesign. The encouragement we have received has made the sharing of our vision a reality. This support comes from a small team that works closely together, with each member contributing something essential to the company that in return meets our customers' needs; technical assistance, photography, expert consultation, media marketing, and most importantly, dedication.
